U11 Fixtures
Year 6 faced Ewell Castle in a brand-new fixture, and it proved to be a well-matched contest. The As played a real rollercoaster of a game, going 2–0 up at half-time before Ewell Castle hit back with three second-half goals, using the long ball and a powerful striker to good effect. Our boys showed excellent resilience, moving the ball well and peppering the goal before finding a late equaliser to finish 3–3. The Cs and Ds both went down 1–2, but impressed with their energy, effort and positive play.
U10 Tournament Victory
On Thursday, the U10 A & B teams travelled to Kingsway for KCJS’s U10 Tournament, featuring 24 teams across six pools—a high standard of football throughout. Both Hampton sides started strongly, winning their groups without defeat and earning places in the top-tier Cup competition. The Bs battled through to the quarter-finals before bowing out to eventual runners-up Green Lane Primary A, while the As went all the way to the final, beating Poplar Primary and Thomas’s Clapham enroute before edging Green Lane 1–0 to lift the trophy. A fantastic achievement, built on great team performances and standout contributions from Christo and Luca.
House Football
This afternoon, a sea of green, blue, red and yellow shirts swept across Carlisle Park as House Football brought the half-term to a thrilling close. Skill, determination and teamwork were on full display, with some outstanding moments in every year group. The passion on display was a pleasure to see, and when all results were in, just two points separated first and second place. Congratulations to Tudor, who raised the cup at the end of the day—well done to them!
