Sport certainly brings out the emotion in our boys, which is why it such an enjoyable subject to teach. It touches on wider life skills. Mr Henderson’s form, 3H gave an excellent assembly today on techniques to control emotion to prevent yourself making wild decisions when emotions are high, as Mr Smith has referenced above. The games field is a great place to apply these techniques. It is certainly something professional athletes do -such as the All Blacks with their model of Red Head, Blue Head thinking- and is an important area of character development we like to see being honed on the sports field and used in the boys’ everyday lives.

You may have seen my message earlier this week about skins/underlayers. In case you did not, please be aware that because of the supply shortage at the school shop we are allowing boys to wear skins bought from other providers as long as they are navy blue and plain (bar the logo). Please do not send your son to school in black underlayers.

Finally, enjoy the Rugby Autumn Internationals. There looks to be some great games this weekend!
