On the Sunday we travelled to Brentford to watch London Irish in action against Sale Sharks. The boys took part in a pitch parade beforehand and then got to watch an excellent game of rugby. My thanks to Mr Ford for organising the tour and Mr Bendelow, Mr Lee and Miss Slattery for accompanying the boys.

The U10As were in action again on Wednesday for the Hampton Prep U10 7 aside Rugby Festival. Seven other schools attended, including King’s Wimbledon, St Benedict’s and Surbiton and the quality of rugby was high. The boys won all their group games and faced St Benedict’s in their last match. They were a strong team and especially competitive around the ruck, deserving their win. I would like to say a thank you to the U10Bs who stepped in at short notice after a mix up from one of the visiting teams. They played exceptionally well and one of the coaches noted the bravery of their play.

Next week is the last week of our rugby season. The U11s will have their final game of rugby representing Hampton Prep at King’s Wimbledon on Monday. On Wednesday, everybody will be in action in Carlisle Park for the House Rugby Competition. All boys should come to school in Games kit and be wearing their House T-Shirt. It will be muddy so they should bring a full tracksuit also. I look forward to seeing you there.
