The next day brought with it the first round of the Surrey Schools Verney Cup competition. Hurlingham visited Carlisle Park, won the toss and put Hampton Prep in bat. Divam and Rishaan had a strong opening partnership of 72, followed by a quick 29 off 15 by Ronak. By the end of 20 overs the boys had 156 runs. The boys then put in a great bowling performance with the highlight being Viaan recording 4 wickets in 2 overs. Hurlingham were bowled out in the 14 over. We await the result of the Feltonfleet vs. St Pauls Catholic School match next week to find out are next opponent.
