The U10s began with a nail-biting match against Kew College Prep, quickly going two goals down in the opening minutes. With only ten minutes per game, time was tight but the boys showed great resilience. They regained their shape, and Christo calmly slotted home three goals to secure a dramatic comeback win. Once into their stride, the team delivered strong performances, with excellent playmaking from Luca and another hat-trick from Rayan. Most importantly, it was a superb team effort, and the boys were rightly awarded the group winner’s medal.
The U11s also impressed across their six fixtures, demonstrating teamwork and determination. A standout moment came in their 4–0 win against St George’s School. Jazz was commended by Mr Barber for his winning mentality, and Jack for his sound decision-making in defence throughout the tournament. Their overall record of four wins, one draw and one loss earned them a well-deserved runners-up medal.
On Monday, all the U11s were in action against Newland House, with Carlisle Park hosting a series of tightly contested matches. The A team took time to settle in the first half, but stayed in touch thanks to a goal from Oli. The second half was end-to-end excitement, though Newland edged the win 3–2. The B team faced a familiar face in Mr Bendelow, now coaching the Newland House Bs. This was another close match, which saw Newland take the win 2–1. The C and D teams showed great promise in the first halves, but Newland’s strong second-half performances secured them the victories. Aiming to sustain the energy through the game is a key area of development for Cs and Ds.
On Tuesday, the U9s travelled to Newland House. The A team drew 2–2, while the Bs lost 3–1, despite persistent attacking play and some excellent saves from the Newland goalkeeper. The C team drew 2–2 -with goals from Alex P- and the D team took home a well-earned 2–1 win.
