This was played on Tuesday and Aberdour made the trip to Hampton for what proved to be a thrilling contest. A dominant first half saw our boys race into a two-goal lead, and they maintained that momentum after the break, adding another two before Aberdour mounted a spirited comeback. With the score at 4–2, Hampton responded in style, sealing the tie 6–2 thanks to a hat-trick from Chuck W and two from Finlay M. The semi-final opponents are yet to be confirmed, but we will keep you posted.

Elsewhere, all year groups faced Surbiton this week. The U8s set the tone with a string of strong performances, including several wins and a hard-fought draw—special mention to Praneel for his two goals for the Ds. The U10s impressed with their ability to maintain shape across the pitch, securing wins in every fixture; well done to Jason in the Ds for his crucial role in assisting three goals.

All of the U9s played Surbiton in the first wet fixture of the season. The As linked up well to win 4–1, with a highlight being Jude’s goal following a solid assist from Chuck. The Bs looked strong in the opening quarter and scored a couple of lovely passing goals, but Surbiton came back strongly to take the game 4–2. The Cs won convincingly 4–0, while great team spirit carried the Ds to a close 1–0 victory.

The U11Bs impressed with a 5–2 victory against Kings on Monday, showing real progress in their play. They carried that momentum into Wednesday’s match against Surbiton, where only an unlucky goal separated the sides despite some physical and energetic play in the second half as the boys pushed for an equaliser. The U11Ds also demonstrated great energy against Kings, with two goals from Thomas S and tireless work from Gavin L contributing to a well-earned win.

Today, the U11As, supported by several U10s, travelled to Aldenham School for the Herts and Middlesex ISFA Regionals—a tournament known for its high standard of football. The boys took time to adjust to the pace and size of the pitches but improved steadily throughout the day, finishing with a confident 3–1 win in their final match. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite enough to reach the knockout stages, but their efforts were commendable.

They’ll be back in action tomorrow at what promises to be a blustery Hampton Prep 5-a-side tournament, hosted at the school. We’re delighted to welcome the Elizabeth College U11s, who have flown over to join us. Fourteen boys are staying with seven Hampton Prep families—a huge thank you to those families for making this possible.
