After the group stages, Hampton Prep’s A and B sides battled it out for 5th and 7th place against Kings A & B, showing plenty of resilience and spirit. All eyes, however, were on the final between Twickenham Prep and Elizabeth College. It was a tense affair: Twickenham took an early lead, but Elizabeth College fought back to equalise with just minutes remaining, forcing sudden-death extra time. With the pressure on, Elizabeth College bundled the ball over the line to claim the tournament cup in dramatic fashion.

The celebrations continued into the evening as the Elizabeth College boys joined their Hampton Prep hosts for a well-earned meal of burgers and fries. A huge thank you to the families who welcomed our visitors into their homes and helped make this a truly memorable weekend for all involved.

On Monday, our Year 6 Sports Ambassadors — Henry, Max, Akhil, Taran, Jack and Christian — delivered their first sports assembly on the importance of skills for life in sport and how these qualities underpin success beyond the pitch. They spoke confidently about creativity, resilience, communication, reflection, collaboration and reasoning, sharing examples from Jack’s resilience-building exploits in wakeboarding to Taran’s tactical insight into England’s World Cup victory over Germany. The boys did a fantastic job, and as a department we remain committed to developing not just physical skills but also the emotional and mental attributes that foster success in life.

There has also been plenty of collaboration on the training ground as boys prepare for House Football next Friday — the first House competition of the year. It promises to be a tense and exciting afternoon, and we look forward to welcoming you to Carlisle Park. All boys from Years 3–6 will take part and should come to school wearing their House T-shirt and school football kit. Kick-off will be around 2:15pm.
