Currently signed with Harlequins and on loan to Blackheath RFC, he is also an international player and is in Dubai this week representing Brazil as they battle for a place in the 2027 Rugby World Cup against Samoa, Belgium and Namibia. As the rugby term approaches, we look forward to making the most of his expertise for the benefit of the boys.
Whilst on the subject of rugby, a reminder that next week is the last week of football. The following week we will use the time to reintroduce the boys to rugby before fixtures begin next term. Please ensure all boys have a gumshield, including Year 3 and those playing non-contact rugby.
Our Year 6 Sports Ambassadors have been hard at work this half term, planning a brand-new House sports event. All will be revealed in assembly on Monday. Watch this space!
To football now: the U9As played away in their Claremont Surrey Cup semi-final against Shrewsbury House on Monday. Perhaps it was the Monday kick-off or the pouring rain, but the boys didn’t quite click as they usually do against a strong Shrewsbury side, conceding several goals in the first half. To their credit, they rallied after the break, making the second half far more competitive and scoring some excellent goals, including an absolute worldie from Arthur L. It wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit, but well done to the boys for progressing so far in the tournament.
