Firstly, cricket. Unfortunately, our fixture against TPS has been cancelled so no matches next week. We will arrange some in school fixtures to give the boys some fixture experience. The weather is warming up so please ensure your son comes in with a school cap and sun cream when the weather dictates it is necessary.

I sent out a letter on SchoolPost on Tuesday this week outlining the launch of our new sports website that can be found here http://sports.hamptonprep.org.uk or through the ‘What’s On’ section of the school website. The latest news on fixture dates, locations and timings can be found here and exported to calendars. I am hoping you will find this useful and convenient? My letter also outlined our new procedures for informing you if your son has been selected for a fixture and how you give permission for your son to take part. There was a reply to fill in for this so please do check your School Post and respond to it, as we cannot allow your son to play in fixtures without your response. It was titled Sports Update-Prep and SOCS Information to Parents 12.04.21 and there was a .pdf was attached to it.

There was also a reply needed for the School Post message about the Swimming Gala, which is taking place after half term. I am starting to organise the races now. To ensure your son can take part and is placed in a race that is suitable for his swimming ability please may I remind you to respond to this message, if you have not already done so?

Finally, it is House Cross Country on Monday afternoon for Years 1 to 6. Boys will need to be in their white PE trainers and shorts and wearing their House T-shirt if they have one. It is looking to be a warm afternoon but they may need their tracksuit top to wear whilst they are waiting to race. They will also need their water bottle, and school cap and sun cream.
