This week we have been working on the basics; holding the stick correctly and working on controlling the ball accurately. Next week, we hope to bring in some tactical elements in game scenarios. This will involve boys playing each other so, as I have mentioned to boys and as stated in my message on school post, please ensure your son has his gumshield and shin pads on their PE days so they can take part in these sessions fully.
Next week is a busy week for the rugby teams. There is the second round of our fixtures against Surbiton and on Friday and Saturday (3rd and 4th) the King’s, Surrey Junior Rugby Festival takes place. This is always an enjoyable festival with a high standard of rugby being played. It should be a good challenge for our boys. Good luck to all those taking part.
