The U11s were playing away and the As and Bs came away with dominant wins, passing and moving effectively. The Cs demonstrated resolve to keep Newland at bay and won 3-2. The D team fixture was a dramatic fixture with Hampton going 3-0 up, then conceding 3 goals. The game then swung from end-to-end but finished with a fair draw.
The U9s stayed at home and recorded wins for all sides. The As looked particularly strong and we look forward to seeing how they progress through the term.
The U10s travelled to Twickenham Prep for their tournament on Wednesday and the A team boys demonstrated their progress over the past couple of years as they battled competitively with teams that had previously recorded strong results against them. The Bs remained undefeated, drawing all their group games, and then recording a win. The As and Bs are a compelling example of the benefit of consistent effort and application over time.
Epsom College held their U11 tournament on Wednesday. With the ISFA regionals 2 weeks away, it was a great opportunity to set their minds to tournament football. As we have come to expect, they played with great energy and competitiveness, recording four victories and a draw to top their group. It was Parkside in the semis who snatched a goal and effectively wound down the clock to earn a spot in the final, which they won 3-0.
