Across seven matches, the A and D teams were particularly impressive, each recording six wins and conceding very few goals and the A team winning the Kings tournament. The B team also shone with six victories and winning TPS tournament cup, while the C team produced five wins from seven outings – a testament to the depth of talent in this cohort.
U9s delivered some thrilling football, with the A team unbeaten in seven fixtures, scoring freely and defending stoutly. The B and D teams also posted solid records, while the C team battled hard in competitive encounters, showing commendable improvement as the term progressed.
U8s approached their first full term of competitive football with enthusiasm and skill. The B team achieved a perfect record, winning all five matches, and the A team remained undefeated, drawing three, winning two and winning the Surbiton tournament. The C and D teams gained valuable experience, demonstrating resilience and teamwork in every game.
At U11 level, results were mixed against strong opposition. The B team led the way with four wins and two draws, while the A and C teams secured notable victories towards the end of the term despite challenging fixtures. The D team faced tough tests but continued to show commitment and improvement throughout.
Across the school, the boys have displayed excellent sportsmanship and a willingness to learn, hallmarks of Hampton Prep football. Congratulations to all the boys. Your effort and teamwork have been exemplary.
Next week
The boys will continue to work hard developing their rugby skills and apply their learning from the training fixtures against Bishopsgate this week. These were a great success and ensured the boys are in a good place come the start of competitive fixtures next term.
House Tug-of-War
On the last day of term, the boys will take to the field in a competition of House strength in House Tug-of-War! Please be aware that boys should come to school on Friday in their Sports kit. They must be wearing House T-shirts. The school field will be muddy so boys will need their football boots and a full tracksuit to change into to take part. No spectators for this in-school event.
Finally, as this is the last sports bulletin of the term, the Sports Department would like to wish you and your families a happy and active Christmas!
