After half term, PE lessons will move back outside as the boys turn their attention to hockey, while continuing with rugby in their Sports afternoons. On their PE days, boys will need to wear their blue socks and remember both gumshields and shinpads.
Twickenham Prep School (TPS) were the opposition across all year groups this week. On Wednesday, the U11s and U10s were in action. The U10s travelled to Kempton CC for their matches, where the C team enjoyed a great afternoon. There were excellent tackles from Bobby, and Charlie showed that size is no barrier when it comes to bringing down the biggest players. In the Bs, Ollie put in a standout performance in what was a barnstorming win. The A team played a close and competitive fixture; Jasper and Varin demonstrated textbook tackling technique, while Luca and Seb ran with real intent in attack. TPS, however, held their depth well and used their pace to stretch away and secure the win.
In the U11s, both the A and B teams stayed competitive for much of their matches against stronger opposition. For the As, Barnes and Jazz worked tirelessly at the ruck to secure vital possession, while in the Bs, Adrien stood out for his direct running and pace, finishing the afternoon with an impressive four tries.
Next week’s weather looks perfect for a wet and muddy House Cross Country on Thursday afternoon in Carlisle Park. I look forward to seeing many of you there supporting the boys!
