Max, in particular, demonstrated outstanding pace over the 1800m course. Equally important were the efforts of those who found the conditions more challenging but displayed tremendous resilience and grit throughout. The boys’ generosity of spirit, cheering, encouraging and supporting one another around the course, was wonderful to see. A huge well done to Windsor, who lifted the House Cross Country Cup at the end of the afternoon.

There were also some excellent rugby results against Surbiton this week. A performance of the term from the U11As saw them record their first-ever rugby win against Surbiton in their time at Hampton Prep, an impressive marker of their progress and application. The U10s (A–D) recorded wins across the board: Max distributed the ball superbly for the As, Bertie scorched through tackles to score tries for the Bs, Rubah showed great pace for the Cs, and put in a strong shift again for the Ds.

I hope your boys have a restful half-term break and enjoy watching the Winter Olympics and Six-Nations. We look forward to some lighter mornings and (hopefully) drier days going into Spring.
