The U11As had a busy week with two matches. On Tuesday, they faced City of London Freemen’s in the Surrey Verney Cup. Excellent bowling from Aaryan P and Zach, who both took two wickets and kept things tight, limited Freemen’s to 110. In reply, Barnes and Siddharth built a strong partnership, with Barnes scoring an impressive 45 from 61 balls. Hampton finished on 101 for 5, just short of the target after a competitive performance.
Against Claremont, the As again played with energy, but Claremont’s sharp fielding restricted the scoring and, despite a late push from Siddharth, Hampton fell narrowly short. The B and C teams enjoyed well-earned wins, while the Ds put in an outstanding effort, with Nikhil’s bowling proving a real highlight.
