Each rocket was partially filled with water before being sealed with a cork. A nozzle connected to a pump was then inserted into the cork, allowing air to be forced into the bottle. As the pressure built, excitement and anticipation grew among the pupils watching.
With a dramatic pop, the cork blasted free and the rockets soared skywards, propelled by the force of the escaping water. Guided by Mr Salt, who helped oversee the launches, the pupils watched in amazement as their creations shot overhead, with some reaching impressive heights and drawing cheers from their classmates!
