One of the most special moments of the ceremony saw every Year 6 pupil receive their Leavers’ Tie – a symbol of their time at Hampton Prep and the exciting adventures that lie ahead. In a lovely display of pride, the boys immediately swapped their school ties for their new Leavers’ Ties, wearing them for the rest of the ceremony.
There was plenty of laughter as the four House Captains looked back on the year’s highlights, sharing memorable moments from Lancaster, Tudor, Windsor and York. The excitement continued as the House Cup winners were revealed, with Tudor House taking the title thanks to their consistent performances throughout the year, including a standout victory in House Football.
Pupils in Years 3, 4 and 5 were recognised for their dedication to the L.I.O.N. Award programme, receiving their Bronze, Silver and Gold badges respectively, while Pride Value Awards celebrated pupils from Years 3 to 6 who have embodied the school’s values throughout the year.
The performing arts were also celebrated, with pupils receiving awards in recognition of their outstanding contributions to this year’s productions, including The Jungle Book, The Shakespeare Play and Dracula Rocks!. The audience also enjoyed a beautiful piano performance of Someone You Loved, providing a memorable musical interlude during the ceremony.
The celebrations continued with the presentation of the Year 6 academic and sports awards, recognising pupils for their hard work, commitment and achievements both in and beyond the classroom.
A particularly touching moment came as the Year 6 Form Tutors reflected on their pupils’ journey through Hampton Prep with a heartfelt poem, celebrating the friendships, memories and milestones they have shared together.
The ceremony concluded with a speech from the Chair of Governors of the Hampton Trust and Headmaster Mr Smith, who reflected on another successful year for the School before presenting the Head Boy with a special prize.
