We also found out they have no eyes or ears, but feel by touch and vibration. We decided to make the perfect home for our new worm friends and made a wormery from a large plastic bottle. We used this as stimulus for some independent writing, making a list of the things we needed to make the perfect ‘worm habitat’ and then writing the instructions. We read the story, ‘Superworm’ by Julia Donaldson and wrote creatively about our favourite parts of the story.

In mathematics we have been re-capping telling the time o’clock and learning to tell the time half-past. We especially enjoyed showing our telling the time skills with the small clocks.

Wishing you all a very happy half term holiday, we look forward to sharing and reading your holiday snapshots after half term. Our topic after half term is ‘Summer and the Sun!’
