Continuing our focus on animal conservation, we learned more about David Attenborough and found a book on his life and works in the library. The children were fascinated to hear about his lifelong love of animals and fossils, his studies in geology and zoology, and his incredible career as a wildlife filmmaker. They were especially amazed to learn that he is in his late 90s and still making wildlife documentaries – what energy and passion!
In phonics, we have been focusing on the digraphs oa and ie. In maths, we’ve worked hard on forming the number 10 correctly, telling the time to the hour, and learning the days of the week. We also played a fun missing number game up to 20, using the board and writing our answers on whiteboards.
Looking ahead to next week, we’re excited to dive into the wonderful story Stick Man by Julia Donaldson, alongside festive activities with Christmas trees!
