After enjoying a picnic lunch, the class climbed aboard a tractor for a bumpy ride up the hill. Along the way, they saw flocks of sheep and herds of cows and even spotted some pigs fast asleep in the forest. The excitement continued with the pig race, where the children enthusiastically cheered on their favourite coloured pig. The day ended with a truly special moment in the big barn, where the class quietly watched the birth of two baby goats. They were captivated as the nanny goat gently bonded with her new-borns – a magical and unforgettable experience for everyone. Thank you so much to our parent helpers for helping make such a fantastic trip!
On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome author and teacher; Nick Stebbings from Hampton Boy’s School. He began the day with an engaging assembly, where he spoke about his journey as a writer. He visited our classroom to introduced us to his first book ‘Doctor Ray and Her Magical Patients’. The author brought his story to life in a fun and interactive way. Some lucky pupils even had the chance to dress up as the main characters, helping to re-tell the story in front of their friends. It was an inspiring and memorable experience that sparked excitement about reading and storytelling.
A huge congratulations to our Reception class for their fantastic efforts during Sports Day on Thursday! The children showed great enthusiasm, determination, and team spirit throughout all the events. It was wonderful to see their confidence and enjoyment shining through, and we are all incredibly proud of how well they represented our class. Well done, Reception!
Next week we continue our topic of the farm, thinking about from farm to fork and the foods that we enjoy and where they originate.
