On Wednesday, the children enjoyed a handwashing workshop led by Nurse Liz. She emphasised the importance of washing our hands to remove germs. Using a special light and glitter soap, we could see the germs on our hands before thoroughly washing them with soap and water. We tested our handwashing skills, paying close attention to areas like our nails and wrists, where germs often hide.

On Friday, we wrapped up our learning leading an assembly, explaining to our friends everything we discovered this week – and what an excellent job we did too!  We taught our friends a very catchy song about handwashing.

In maths, we focused on the number line up to ten, particularly on placing and forming the number four correctly. In phonics, we continued to develop our blending skills and practiced the correct formation of the letters /p/, /i/, and /n/.

Next week, we will continue our topic, ‘Marvellous Me,’ learning about healthy diets and good oral hygiene to keep our teeth strong and clean.
