In mathematics, we focused on number formation and repeating patterns, with our colourful caterpillar helping the children create vibrant sequences. In phonics, we practised blending and letter formation, concentrating on /r/, /h/ and /m/.

Friday brought a delicious start to the day at Mrs O’Brien’s Café, where the children made toast! They explored the transformation from bread to toast, practised spreading skills, and carefully cut their toast into halves — a perfect blend of practical life skills and maths!

Although our visit to Pizza Express was unfortunately postponed due to traffic delays, we are excited to share that a new date has been secured for next term. We’ll confirm details soon — thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Looking ahead, don’t forget to fill your Autumn Treasure Bags this weekend. We can’t wait to see what seasonal wonders the children bring in! Next week, we’ll be diving into Signs of Autumn and learning all about Nocturnal Animals.

Wishing you a lovely, leaf-crunching weekend!
