The children each wrote a birthday message and drew a picture to send to the Queen. We are excited to know that our letters are posted and now on way to Windsor Castle. On Wednesday, we enjoyed listening to Mr Smith reading us the story ‘Fly by night’ by June Crebbin. It is about a little owl who has to wait the long day to take his flight. We learnt the words dawn, for when the sun is rising, and dusk, for when the sun is setting.
Our mathematics learning focused on our number bonds to 20. We have been showing independently how we can make number bonds for any given number. We also enjoyed measuring the ingredients with Mrs O’Brien to make delicious ‘sunshine apricot flapjacks’.
We have been using visualisation techniques in order to help us relax and become mindful of our bodies and breathing, and enjoyed a spot of cloud watching in the garden.
