We had a look around the children’s section of the library and chose books to share with our friends. The librarians then read us a story called ‘The Button Book’ by Sally Nicholls – a story about colour buttons which the children could press. From a singing button to a tickle button, a rude sound button to a mysterious white button, it was a most hilarious book to share! The children’s behaviour during this trip was excellent. Comments from the librarians were made on how polite the children were. Well done, Reception.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed our visit from author Graham Jones, who read us the story, ‘Time Travelling Toby and the Dinosaurs.’ We especially enjoyed our question time with him – the adults present were so impressed with the thoughtful questions the children asked! Some especially mature questions were put to him – for example,  how long did it take him to write a book?  On Thursday we loved all the amazing Book Day costumes and had a great day,  showing our costumes to our friends, speaking about why we had picked our chosen character and just generally reading and  sharing books!
