We read the story of the Little Red Hen, whose friends were too lazy to help her to make pizza. We spoke about how nice it is to say, “yes, of course” when we are asked to help. The children all agreed that they would have helped the Little Red Hen, which was lovely to hear.

On Friday Reception performed their ‘Flying Pizza’ assembly. We enjoyed talking about our favourite foods and how we keep our bodies healthy. The children enjoyed helping me to make a pizza for the teachers’ lunch. We were amazed to find how far some of the ingredients have travelled. Tinned tuna from the Pacific, red onion from California, mozzarella and passata from Italy and black olives from Spain!

Have a wonderful half term – well done to all the children for a fantastic start to the Reception year.
