In mathematics, we have been counting forward and counting backwards. We were amazed that the children could independently work as a team to order themselves correctly according to number sequence. We also had lots of fun learning to read and write subtraction number sentences and working out practically with sticks our own take away sums. On Wednesday, we put our brains to the test with an estimation game – we thought hard to give sensible predictions for our number problems.
We have had a very creative week; the classroom is a very glittery place to be! We have been busy making our classroom Christmassy and have enjoyed exploring Santa’s Workshop and Christmas play dough immensely.
