In Literacy, we wrote about ‘Signs of Spring’, we talked about the changeable weather, and bulbs and blossom bursting into life. We also discussed the effects of the changing seasons on creatures and animals, waking up from hibernating the long cold winter.
In mathematics, lots of addition and subtraction number sentences have been completed and we have been perfecting our number formation by practising numerals! We have also been busy learning to count in 2s and 10s. We especially enjoyed learning to count in 2s by sorting socks into matching pairs to hang on the washing line and sorting animals into pairs to enter the Ark!
On Wednesday, Mr Smith joined us for an Easter sing-song as we learned our songs for Monday’s Open Classroom. He particularly enjoyed our ‘Chocolate Egg’ song! We are super ‘egg-cited’ about the Easter Egg hunt next week and are busy making bunny ears in anticipation of the Easter Bunny’s arrival at Hampton Pre-Prep. Next week our theme… is Easter!
