We looked at the many different ways of moving on water from kite surfing to cruise ships! We used this as inspiration for our creative writing, and wrote about sailing away. Many children chose to travel by submarine so they could see the sea creatures! Trips were taken along the Amazon, Antarctica and even the Mariana Trench (the deepest oceanic trench on Earth!).
In mathematics, we have had lots of fun at the capacity tuff tray; investigating filling containers and comparing which holds more. We have been also been counting to 100 and focusing on our teen numbers, consolidating key counting and subitising skills. We have also enjoyed working on our ‘Space and Measure’ number books.
