The children enjoyed listening to the story ‘A letter to Santa’ and then all had a go copy writing their own to Santa. We think Santa will be very busy making various dinosaurs, car sets and slime that the children have asked for! In mathematics, we have been looking closely at the numbers 11 to 20. We have been counting, adding 1 & 2 more and less than a given number. We have also been ordering numbers in descending order.
We have had a very creative week; the classroom is a very glittery place to be! We made salt dough Christmas tree decorations, which were fantastic exercise for our fine motor skills! We have also made Christmas tree and snowflake hats for our school play. We have been busy making our classroom Christmassy and enjoyed the Santa’s Workshop immensely. In the Christmas tuff tray, we have helped the elves sort out the mixed-up Christmas tree decorations but were only allowed to use the tweezers to collect the pom poms!
