In art this week we created our own unique Forest Folk out of clay and our Autumn treasures that we had collected from our Autumn bags last weekend. We had great fun manipulating the clay to form our unique models and adorning some gorgeous natural details, such as pine cone noses and leaf hats and googly eyes! On the tuff tray we had lots of fun using the hammers to tap pins into our spooky pumpkins with precision, really testing our fine motor skills!
On Friday we enjoyed attending our ‘Open Homework Exhibition’, we enjoyed looking at all the work and discussing our friends in Pre-Prep’s impressive ideas!
In mathematics, we have been learning about the numbers 1, 2, 3, finding, subitising and representing. We have also been practicing our number formation, making sure we form our numbers correctly.
Well done Reception for settling so well into their new class routines and working so hard this half term! We hope you have a fabulous half term break, don’t forget to complete your half-term holiday snap shot to share back at school!
Please don’t forget to empty your book bag and enjoy looking at all your hard work.
After half-term, we will be thinking about the Autumn festivals and Remembrance Day.
