Reception enjoyed a wonderful day of discovery during their trip to Wisley Gardens.
The children took part in a fun and engaging workshop where they learned all about what plants need to stay healthy and grow. Using their senses, they explored the world of plants by looking closely at colours and shapes, feeling different textures and smelling fragrant leaves and flowers. Pupils were full of curiosity as they shared their observations and discoveries.
A highlight of the workshop was planting their own seeds to bring back to school. Reception are now excited to look after their plants and watch them grow over the coming weeks.
After the workshop, the adventure continued with a woodland walk through the beautiful gardens. Along the way, the children spotted a variety of plants and trees, enjoying the chance to explore nature and use their senses to discover even more about the world around them.
Reception returned to school full of excitement, new knowledge and a growing love for the natural world.
