STEM Day in Prep was exciting and inspiring, engaging boys in various hands on STEM activities and enlightening talks. Mr Iyer, a parent of a Year 4 boy, kicked off the day with an insightful talk on STEM and the importance of sustainability to each year group, generously taking time out of his busy day to share his expertise. His talk captivated the boys, who asked numerous thoughtful questions demonstrating their keen interest in these important topics.
The excitement continued with a workshop led by Jeremy King, who returned to guide the boys through creative design and building challenges. Highlights included building STOMP vehicles, crafting burglar alarms, and constructing structures from rolled-up, pressed newspaper, all of which allowed the boys to immerse themselves in hands-on problem-solving.
The day culminated in an excellent assembly led by Mr Fuldner, a Physics teacher from Hampton and joint Head of First Year, who vividly brought the concept of flying to life. His presentation was much-enjoyed by the boys, rounding off an inspiring day filled with curiosity and learning.
A huge thank you to our visitors for the activities and workshops, and to the HPPPA for their support.
