Mrs Sheaff’s World Book Day Highlights:

On Thursday 3rd March we celebrated World Book Day, and my word what a fantastic day was had by all! We all thoroughly enjoyed submerging ourselves in the world of books through a range of engaging activities to inspire the boys love for reading!

An absolute highlight of the day, was the character costume parade! I think you will see the pictures below highlight just how much fun the boys had showcasing their costumes whilst walking down the runway. Such superb effort had been put into each and every costume to bring the characters to life!

We were all totally blown away by our visiting author, Lexi Rees. She allowed us to understand her love for writing, her passion for art and also let us into a few secrets about her new upcoming book too! Eight lucky winners of our ‘Book Cover’ competition also had the opportunity to have lunch with Lexi. This was a fabulous opportunity for the boys to ask LOTS of questions and really appreciate the steps involved in publishing a book! They all came away extremely inspired!

Quidditch! Wow! What a game! This extremely energetic and exciting game involved flying around on a ‘broom’ to try and get the ball in the goal and to catch the sneaky snitch! The boys have not stopped talking about this game and are hopeful it might be part of our sports curriculum one day…!

The photographs will offer you a glimmer at what a wonderful day it was; so many smiles and a feeling of togetherness on what was a great World Book Day.
