In science, the children were totally immersed in their investigation this week; testing three different materials for their insulating properties. Last week, the children worked in mini teams, and predicted which material would keep the ice cube coldest. This week, we tested our predictions to find out which material was the best insulator. We learnt about the importance of making it a fair test, by keeping all other variables the same.
In English, we travelled to Space and met an alien! The children used interesting vocabulary and plenty of adjectives to describe their new alien friends!
In maths, we have been working on our mental maths skills – including quick recall of addition and subtraction facts.
