In maths, we have been continuing to explore multiplication and division by doubling numbers up to 20, making equal groups using familiar objects and sharing objects into equal groups – we were very excited to have a picnic for our cuddly toys who would only eat food that had been shared fairly! The children had great fun sharing the cubes to feed the animals and used the language 16 biscuits shared equally between 4 is 4. We look forward to learning about fractions next week in our mathematics lessons.
Year 1 were delighted to fill their marble jar and voted for a treat of ice cream and a film! There were whoops of joy when they heard there would be a sprinkle bar too! Well done Year 1, keep up the great work!
We are all looking forward to our trip to the Winchester Science Centre next week and can’t wait to deepen our understanding of our Space topic. Don’t forget a packed lunch, and an early night on Sunday! Have a super weekend.
