In our shared reading sessions, we focused on reading with expression, especially when spotting exclamation marks — what a difference it makes for the listener!

In maths, we revisited number work using practical resources like unifix cubes, and number lines to practise counting on from any number. We’ve also been working hard on number formation, and will continue this focus next week as we begin comparing numbers using the terms greater than, less than, and equal to.

During computing, the children practised logging in and out of Purple Mash independently and explored the science area to create beautiful Autumn-themed paint projects. They also learned how to save and retrieve their work — great skills for budding digital learners!

Before diving into ‘Colour in Nature’ the children have brushed up on their knowledge of primary colours in art, and made a great job of some creating eye-catching abstract pieces.

We’re all looking forward to our walk to Carlisle Park next Thursday. Fingers crossed for some Autumn sunshine! Please do make sure your child has their school coat with them in school.

Have a super weekend!
