Number bond knowledge has been our focus this week in maths. Our targeted work on developing quick recall of these is really supporting the children with their speed and agility of calculation. It is fascinating to see how well some of the children can now explain their mathematical thinking, both verbally and in writing. Next week, we will switch our focus to subtraction, and its relation to addition.
Looking at the children’s baby photographs in Science was a real highlight of the week – thank you so much for sending these in. We had a wonderful time looking at the pictures and discussing who was who! We discussed how the children had changed and compared things that they could do now, that they weren’t able to do as babies.
