Our English lessons have been inspired by the delightful book, We All Went on Safari – A Counting Journey through Tanzania by Laurie Krebs and Julia Cairns. This lively rhyming text takes readers on an exciting safari across the grasslands of Tanzania while teaching how to count in Swahili. The book provided the perfect springboard for the children to create their own counting books, incorporating  full and interesting descriptive sentences about the animals encountered.

We have also started on an exciting new topic in humanities, Brazil.  The children enjoyed using world maps to locate countries, setting the scene for our learning journey.  We will dive deeper into this vibrant country, discovering fascinating facts about Brazil’s culture, landmarks and wildlife. It promises to be an exciting adventure.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
