In English, we continued developing our new alliteration skills by writing comics about superheroes and supervillains. The children had lots of fun using their imagination to create exciting characters and adventurous storylines, while also including fantastic examples of alliterative language in their writing.
In maths, we introduced a brand-new topic: fractions. The children have been learning about halves in both shapes and quantities and have enjoyed exploring fractions through practical activities and everyday examples. They have shown great understanding and enthusiasm while tackling this new concept.
We are also continuing our topic on the solar system in science and humanities. This week, the children learned about Mae Jemison and her incredible journey to becoming an astronaut. They were fascinated to learn about the challenges she overcame and all that she achieved. It was lovely to see the children so inspired and engaged during these discussions.
Have a lovely weekend!
