Towards the end of the week, we also began learning about ordinal numbers such as first, second, third, and fourth. The children have been fantastic at recognising and using these correctly in different activities and games.
We have also continued our space theme and brought it into our English lessons this week. The children showed great imagination by creating their own aliens and inventing exciting backstories about where they found them. They then wrote some brilliant acrostic poems about their aliens, using lots of creative vocabulary and descriptive language.
The children have also been very creative in our RE lessons this week, designing colourful, informative, and thoughtful posters about different places of worship. They showed great care and respect while learning about other faiths and beliefs, and it was lovely to see their maturity and curiosity during these discussions.
I hope the children have enjoyed this half term and take plenty of time to rest and recharge over the break. I look forward to seeing everyone again for our final term together!
