In English we went on a counting journey through Tanzania, inspired by the traditional tale “We All Went on a Safari”. We even had a go at learning to count in Swahili! The children then set about writing their own counting books, using adjectives and alliteration to describe the animals and bring their writing to life. These stories will be shared with Kindergarten and performed in our class assembly next week. Lots to be very proud of.
We have started our new topic learning about Brazil and the children have enjoyed locating countries on the world map to set the scene. In RE we are learning about what it takes to be a good friend; we will then enjoy stories about friendship from different world religions.
