World Book Day was, of course, a highlight, and we adored seeing the marvellous array of colourful costumes and listening to the children talk about their favourite books. The children worked in small teams to answer questions at our very special Hampton Pre-Prep Book quiz, and we were delighted with their excellent knowledge of books.
In mathematics, we continued learning about length and height. The children quickly got to grips with measuring using a ruler, remembering to always start measuring from 0cm. The children then moved onto solving word problems, adding and subtracting lengths of multiple objects. Counting in 2s, 5s and 10s helped enormously when adding objects of the same length.
