It was also our turn to lead the Friday assembly, and the children had the opportunity to recite poems which they had learnt from memory.   “Spring Song” by William Blake and “March Weather” by Tessa Ransford formed the basis of the assembly, focusing on our topic about weather and the four Seasons.  They performed beautifully and audibly to the rest of Pre-Prep.

In maths we have been focusing this week on weight and mass, using a variety of non-standard units to weigh and compare objects on the balancing scales.  We have been so impressed with the children’s use of language to explain the different measures, particularly when solving word problems using addition and subtraction.  They are all outstanding mathematicians!

The week ahead promises to be very exciting with our trip to Hanwell Zoo.  We can’t wait!
