In science we have been studying the order of the planets in the solar system and we learnt a mnemonic to help us: My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming. So many of the children had retained this information from their experience at the Winchester Science Centre, in particular their voyage to outer space in the incredible planetarium!
In maths we have started our focus on money, learning to recognise coins, notes and counting in multiples of same value coins. We can’t wait to spend some money in our shop next week!
We enjoyed “moving up” to Year 2 on Wednesday, learning about all the roles and duties that we will take on as leaders of Pre-Prep… It looks like Year 1 are almost ready to fill the current Year 2’s responsible shoes!
