In Maths, we have been working on addition and subtraction skills. We have been talking through different methods that we can use to work out missing number sums; such as starting on a number and counting forwards or backwards to the answer in order to work out a missing number. We then used this knowledge to help us solve addition and subtraction word problems in a variety of ways.

In science this week we have learnt what a carnivore, herbivore and omnivore is. We discussed the difference between these different groups and sorted which animals belong to which groups, using a Venn diagram.

The focus of our topic work this half term has been ‘Memories’.  This week, we discussed how a memory box can help us to ‘store’ our memories, by keeping little trinkets and treasures to remind us of happy events. We all enjoyed making our own memory box and thinking about which items we would keep in them
