They also thoroughly enjoyed all the excitement and activity in preparation for Sports Day!  The children were keen to participate, and did themselves proud on the day; what a great bunch of scientists we have in Year 1.

In humanities we have been stepping back in time seeing how seaside holidays have changed over time.  We loved looking at black and white photos of the past, and couldn’t believe the number of garments worn to swim in the sea in times gone by – and what’s more the special carriages that were pulled into the sea by horses to give women more privacy during the Victorian age.
