Year 1 pupils were delighted to welcome children from ten local prep schools for a fun-filled Summer Sports Gala.
The afternoon brought together young athletes for an exciting celebration of sport. Pupils took part in a wide range of activities, including javelin, mini golf, hockey, tag rugby, catching and throwing challenges, running races, sack races and the ever-popular egg and spoon race. A particular highlight was a life-sized game of Hungry Hippos with rugby balls, which proved a huge hit with the children.
To round off the afternoon, everyone received a medal in recognition of their efforts and enjoyed a well-earned ice lolly.
We were thrilled to host so many local schools for this special occasion and to see the children embrace every activity with such sportsmanship.
