In English, we wrote about the little mouse in the story who did not have a name – thinking carefully about building a character and their likes and dislikes. Thursday’s task made us all very peckish as we were designing and writing instructions for baking a cake for Detective Gordon!
In maths, we have been working on subtraction and addition to 10 and 20 – using what we know about number bonds to help us. We practised a fun way to learn quick recall of our doubles using animal ears – ask your child to show you this at home!
In topic we have been honing our map reading skills! We designed our own playgrounds, including labelling these with a key. We also learnt about compass directions and how to find where items are located on a map.
