In our key text, ‘The Shaman’s Apprentice’, the men, women, boys and girls all have different roles and jobs to do. We compared them and discussed if we felt the jobs were distributed fairly. Thinking of our own households, we made lists of the jobs each member of the family has to do and compared them to one another. Interestingly, every child had a long list for themselves and a much shorter one for their parents!
Today, we each received a leaflet from our buddy-to-be at the Prep site, which was really exciting. After half term, we are going to respond to their leaflets by writing them a letter, telling them about ourselves! We also met the current Year 3 teachers and asked them questions we have for September and the next academic year – we are so excited for the changes that lie ahead!
