Circus Skills!
During our English lessons, we have focused on common and proper nouns, learning that proper nouns always need to be capitalised. Next week, we will be reading another circus themed book, ‘If I Ran the Circus’, by Dr Seuss, and completing a range of activities based on this text. Please refrain from reading this story with your child over the weekend.
We couldn’t believe it when the class filled their marble jar at the end of last week! The children have been working so hard during lesson times and have been trying their best around school to be excellent role models for the younger year groups. After voting for their favourite reward idea, the children got to take part in a very exciting experiment – do ask your child to tell you all about it! Well done for a super week, Year 2.
